4. Google Sign-In / OAuth

If you choose to sign in with Google, we request only basic profile data to set up and maintain your account. We do not request sensitive or restricted scopes.

• Scopes requested: email, profile (name and profile photo URL).
• Purpose: authenticate you, pre-fill your profile, and display your name/photo in the alumni portal.
• Data stored: name, email, and profile photo URL in your user profile record.
• Data sharing: not sold or shared with third parties; used only within Prabodhini services.
• Model training: your Google account data is not used to train machine learning models.
• Retention: retained while your account is active; deleted when you request account deletion.
• Revocation: you can revoke Google access anytime from your Google Account permissions and request account deletion to remove stored data.

5. AI-Powered Features

Our website uses AI-powered features including:

• Subhashita Generator: Generates Sanskrit quotes using Google Gemini
• Donation Assistant: Helps answer donation-related queries
• Career Advisor: Provides career guidance for alumni
• Content Summarizer: Creates summaries of long articles

These AI features use Google's Gemini models. Your queries may be processed by Google's AI services. We do not store AI conversation history beyond the active session unless explicitly saved.

6. Your Rights Under DPDPA 2023

Under the DPDPA, you have the right to:

• Erasure: Request deletion of your data (right to be forgotten)

Our alumni portal is intended for users 18 years and older. The public website may be accessed by anyone, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18 without parental consent.
