1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Prabodhini Gurukula website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

Prabodhini Gurukula provides:

Information about our Vedic residential school
Alumni portal for networking and community building
Donation processing for charitable contributions
AI-powered assistants for guidance and information
Forum for alumni discussions

3. User Registration

Alumni portal registration requires:

Verification of alumni status (batch year, graduation)
Accurate personal information
Admin approval before full access is granted
Maintenance of account security

We reserve the right to reject or revoke registrations that cannot be verified or violate our community guidelines.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Impersonate any person or misrepresent affiliation
Post false, misleading, or defamatory content
Harass, abuse, or harm other users
Spam or post unsolicited commercial content
Attempt to hack or disrupt the service
Violate any applicable laws
Share your login credentials with others

5. AI Services Terms

Our AI-powered features (Subhashita Generator, Donation Assistant, Career Advisor, Content Summarizer) are provided "as is" with the following conditions:

AI responses are for informational purposes only
Do not rely on AI for critical decisions without verification
Financial advice from AI assistants is general guidance, not professional advice
AI may occasionally produce inaccurate information
Do not attempt to manipulate or "jailbreak" AI systems
Prompts attempting to elicit harmful content are prohibited

6. Google Sign-In / OAuth

When you choose Google Sign-In, we request only basic profile data to create and maintain your account:

Scopes requested: email, profile (name and profile photo URL).
Purpose: authenticate you, pre-fill your profile, and show your display name/photo in the alumni portal.
Data storage: name, email, and photo URL are stored in our user profile records.
Data sharing: not sold or shared with third parties; only used within Prabodhini services.
Model training: your data is not used to train machine learning models.
Retention: kept while your account remains active; removed when you delete your account.
Revocation: you can revoke Google access at any time from your Google Account permissions and request account deletion to remove stored data.

By proceeding with Google Sign-In, you consent to this use of your Google account data. If you do not agree, please use an alternative login method or request account deletion.

7. Donations

Donations to Prabodhini Trust:

Are voluntary and non-refundable once processed
Are eligible for 80G tax exemption (for Indian taxpayers)
Will be used for the specified purpose where indicated
May be pooled for general Gurukula operations if purpose is unspecified

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Prabodhini Trust or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright laws. Traditional Vedic texts and Sanskrit shlokas are in the public domain but our presentations of them are protected.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Prabodhini Trust shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for accessing the Service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chitradurga, Karnataka.
